Visited mainland Greece after finding super affordable accommodation in an authentic & rustic home via the Brave Stays. Amazing prices for school holidays. Faye the owner was super helpful at all stages of the process from advising us on flights, where to visit and additionally providing fans as it was due to be extremely hot. We flew into Athens and also had a night there at the end of our holiday which was amazing. We travelled into the village where the Juicy Olive is situated and could easily nip to Sparta for supplies which is a well equipped town about 15-20. Beware google maps can be misleading and send you down some dirt tracks when leaving the village so make sure you go back out the way you came in! Whilst there we visited so many beautiful locations & ate delicious food, which was reasonably priced and never felt ripped off or disappointed! The beaches were amazing (all about 50 mins drive from Juicy olive) and we had Mavrovouni which was empty other than lots of little Turtles nesting sites! We visited two different restaurants - one by day called the Mediterranean snack bar - who sell great pizzas for €10 and you can use their sun beds for free too, additionally there is a lovely shady area with beanbags. In the evening we visited Takis Tavern which is super friendly and you go into the kitchen to choose your main course! Can even try before you buy…… For those who like a thrill we visited Vathi beach and tried some water sports! An inflatable sofa and we were whizzed up and down the sea at speed! Also bought some amazing local olive oil and olives at the shop here. After this we visited Skoutari village and beach. Absolutely gorgeous, clear waters and great for snorkelling - even saw rainbow fish!!!! The restaurant on the beach is delicious and we were lucky enough to have a group of people next to us playing the guitar and singing - stayed till sunset. Another evening, we visited Gythio which is stunning and I got some amazing photos of the sky reflecting in the water and had a delicious meal for a very reasonable €50 euros for 3 kids and 2 adults including drinks!!! Delicious souvlaki, Greek salad and fries to die for. Finally another recommendation was Areopolis - a cobble streets and super cute bars and restaurants as well as gift shops. Make sure you get there in time to sit at a roof top restaurant and see the sun set over the sea. The local people were so friendly and kind - additionally we didn’t see any other English people the whole time so became totally immersed in the local culture. Can’t wait to try another one of the Brave stays properties! Give it a go!

What an amazing stay in a beautiful part of the world! We loved our holiday in the Peloponnese and couldn't have asked for a more helpful booking process with Faye at the Brave Stays. Faye was super helpful, right from the start, including support with where to fly to, car hire options and stop-offs on the way to the Juicy Olive from Athens. The instructions in the property pack were detailed and clear, and made finding the Juicy Olive straightforward. She even helped us find a place nearby with a swimming pool for the kids. The accommodation itself is utterly charming, and perfect for getting away from it all, and is very affordable. In terms of location, the hills of the Peloponnese provided a stunning backdrop. We could easily explore the area and immerse ourselves in the local culture. The food was fantastic and we visited many lovely restaurants, including in what must been one of the prettiest places in the whole of the Mediterranean -- Areopoli. Days on the beach with the kids were another highlight. A favourite of ours was Scoutari beach. While the kids played in the water, we were able to relax and keep an eye on them from just a few feet away at the whitewashed Kalamakia Tavern, which sells excellent sea food. The locals were really friendly too, whether in Kalivea Theologou and in the many shops and restaurants were visited. We will definitely be travelling to the Peloponnese again and booking with the Brave Stays.

So, how many years ago is it since we pulled off the most incredible experience for 40 travel and tourism students to Ontario, Canada? I always said at the time that it would never have happened or gone ahead if it wasn't for the hours that you put in behind the scenes, crafting an unforgettable trip for those young people. Such a full and diverse itinerary from Toronto city sightseeing, ice skating lessons from a former ice hockey professional in front of the Toronto city hall, standing behind the ice flow of the mighty Niagara falls, top hotel window seats for lunch overlooking the falls, tubing at Ski Snow Mountain, gala dinner at the top of the C.N.Tower, transfers, hotel bookings, organising a local tour guide and so much more and the whole trip operated seamlessly and without a single hiccup. Good luck in your new and ongoing project Faye and thanks again for all that you did to organise a once in a lifetime experience for those very lucky youngsters. Now, if you decide to look for another property for the Brave portfolio, off the beaten track in Cyprus, I'll happily be your chauffeur on your quest to find somewhere.

*Exceptional Last-Minute Travel Support – Highly Recommend!* I can't thank Faye enough for her incredible help in organising my recent stay at Zurich and gave me great tips on my stay at Paris too. With barely any time to spare, she handled everything with such professionalism and care, taking away my stress. She was attentive and genuinely invested in making sure I got the best value for money. She not only found me a fantastic place to stay in Zurich on extremely short notice, but also followed up multiple times to ensure everything was going smoothly before, during, and even after my trip. We had a minor glitch with the self check in but her responsiveness and reassurance solved the issue almost immediately. Thank you Faye♡

I worked with Faye for a number of years while we were developing the Online MBA programme for Nottingham Trent University. Faye is a wonderful colleague to work with, providing clear leadership and support for all members of the team. She has an intuitive understanding of how to bring people together and always leads by example, setting the standard for academic quality across all aspects of the programme. Faye always understood the challenges of (re)designing a programme for an online environment, keeping the team focused and motivated while managing multiple conflicting and complicated schedules. Her passion and commitment for the programme and her students' success was always evident. I know how much her mentorship and guidance meant to so many individuals and how her input was a key driver in the success of the programme. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Faye and I highly recommend her.

Faye and I first met, and worked together, when I was at Wiley as Director of Academic Services and Faye was Programme Leader for Nottingham Trent's Online MBA programme. We worked closely on the programme planning, design and development of this fully online degree programme. Faye was a pleasure to work with as her enthusiasm, professionalism, knowledge and abilities meant that she was able to very effectively take the lead among her colleagues in order to make sure that the development project was managed effectively, completed on time and met the high-quality standards set by the University and Wiley... Faye brings a deep understanding of teaching and learning practice and continuing concern for academic quality that helped ensure that the NTU online MBA was designed to provide effective and successful learning experiences for all of its students.

Happy World Kindness Day! ☀️ Today, we come together to celebrate the extraordinary power of kindness and the beautiful ripple effect it creates in our lives. Kindness is not just a mere act; it's a profound gesture that touches hearts ❤️, uplifts spirits 🌼, and transforms our communities. As Barbara De Angelis wisely said, "Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference." I'm taking this moment to express my deepest gratitude to those giving kindness—and to the very special Faye Taylor who embodies this spirit in everything she does. Your unwavering support and genuine compassion have been a guiding light. Your kindness inspires me every day to be better and to extend that same warmth to others (even on the most difficult of days). 🙏✨

I hope this message finds you well. As I close this chapter of my academic journey, I find myself deeply grateful to have crossed paths with you. Life has a way of bringing people into our lives at the right time, and you have been an invaluable part of my experience here in the UK. Joining the ranks of students who have had the privilege of learning under your guidance is something I am genuinely proud of. Thank you for your constant support, encouragement, and all the constructive feedback. Your guidance and corrections were instrumental, not only in helping me shape my thesis but in making me realize my own potential. Through your patience and insights, you taught me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. You may be one of the many tutors who have guided me through my master's journey, but I am honored to say that you stand out as the best among them all. Your final feedback on my work was both humbling and motivating; it helped me produce a thesis I am genuinely proud of. Though I know there's always room for improvement, I am deeply grateful and proud of the grade I achieved, knowing that it was shaped by your invaluable input. I am confident that your guidance will continue to influence my future endeavors in thesis writing and beyond. Thank you once again for everything, Dr. Faye Taylor. I wish you all the best, and I hope our paths cross again in the future. As you continue to shape the lives of many others, know that you have made a lasting impact on mine. See you at the top. Nonas house is as authentic Italian as you are ever going to get. You feel her warm welcome to her home and village even though you'll never meet her! Everything is as she left it, including her soap collection that still freshens her drawers. It really is charmingly simple, unpretentious, rustic Italian living at its best. You really do step back in time when you enter this place. The neighbours and other locals were so welcoming too. It helps to try and learn a few phrases and having a phrase book/app really is a must - plus they all love hearing you try! Monzone Alto really is beautiful and fascinating to explore both day & night. The views are gorgeous from every stand point and all you can hear are the cicadas and crickets, the river and church bells. My children have absolutely loved it and have not missed having a TV or wifi at all.
